Job Description
The Passenger Attendant role is designed to support, guide, and assist passengers across multiple airport touchpoints, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and pleasant airport experience. The position involves active engagement with passengers at key arrival and departure areas, offering clear guidance, timely assistance, and professional customer service in alignment with airport and aviation service standards.
Areas of Responsibility
Passenger assistance is provided at the Departure Welcome Area, Departure Immigration Smart Gates, Dufry Shop exit points, Arrival Immigration Smart Gates, Arrival Immigration counters, Common Arrival areas on the Ground Floor, and Arrival Baggage Halls.
Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of this position is to support passengers by addressing inquiries, guiding movement through airport processes, and ensuring access to appropriate service channels. The role contributes to operational efficiency, passenger satisfaction, and compliance with airport procedures and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
General Duties:
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service, teamwork, and situational awareness to enhance passenger satisfaction and minimize complaints.
- Maintain professional discipline, grooming standards, and uniform compliance while representing Sharjah Aviation Services.
- Adhere strictly to established service expectations, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols.
- Provide timely and efficient passenger support within a secure working environment in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards, local airport authority regulations, and organizational policies.
Passenger Assistance:
- Welcome and assist inbound and outbound passengers in a courteous, professional, and helpful manner at assigned arrival and departure locations.
- Support passengers requiring special assistance due to age, mobility limitations, or other physical conditions by directing them to appropriate service personnel.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in line with operational requirements.
Floor Walking Duties:
- Engage with passengers proactively, offering guidance and support while maintaining a strong focus on service excellence.
- Coordinate porter services when required to facilitate passenger movement.
- Execute additional responsibilities as directed by supervisory staff.
Immigration – Departure and Arrival:
- Guide passengers to the correct immigration counters or Smart Gates based on visa and travel requirements.
- Assist with general immigration-related inquiries as needed.
Arrival Baggage Hall:
- Provide clear guidance to passengers regarding designated baggage collection points.
- Respond promptly and accurately to baggage-related queries and concerns.
