Within airport ground operations, responsibilities are centered on safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Key duties include delivering baggage and cargo to aircraft-side locations, collecting handbags from boarding gates as instructed, and conducting thorough checks of cargo holds upon aircraft arrival. Any abnormalities, including missing or damaged components or unidentified items found within the hold, must be promptly identified and reported.

Additional responsibilities include verifying that all hold nets, Unit Load Device (ULD) locks, and other restraint systems are securely positioned, followed by immediate communication with the ramp agent to confirm compliance. Any suspicious objects identified on the ramp, within aircraft holds, or in other operational areas must be reported without delay to superiors or relevant security authorities.

Strict adherence to all safety, security, and operational procedures is essential. This includes compliance with instructions issued by the carrier, the operating company, and relevant aviation authorities. All hazards and operational occurrences must be reported to the person in charge, with detailed written reports prepared as required. Personal safety, as well as the safety of colleagues, remains a core responsibility, alongside the obligation to perform only those tasks for which appropriate training has been completed. All activities must align with procedures and guidelines published by Etihad Airways and customer airlines.

Educational and experience requirements include a minimum qualification of high school education or an equivalent certification. A valid UAE driving license is mandatory. ABOUT VACANCY

The Loader Driver role focuses on ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient loading and unloading of baggage and cargo from aircraft. This position plays a critical part in maintaining smooth ground operations by supporting the timely movement of baggage and freight between terminal areas and the aircraft side. Attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and coordination with ground handling teams are essential to support on-time departures and arrivals.

Key Accountabilities and Job Responsibilities

Sort, transport, load, and offload baggage and cargo in accordance with operational instructions and assigned schedules.
Transfer baggage and cargo safely and efficiently to designated aircraft-side locations.
Collect handbags from boarding gates when directed and ensure proper delivery to the appropriate handling area.
Inspect cargo holds upon aircraft arrival and report any irregularities, including missing components, damaged parts, or unidentified items discovered within the hold.
Verify that all hold nets, Unit Load Device (ULD) locks, and other restraint systems are correctly positioned and securely fastened, then inform the ramp agent of compliance.
Immediately report any suspicious objects or unusual findings on the ramp, inside aircraft holds, or in other operational areas to supervisors or relevant security authorities.
Ensure full compliance with all operational, safety, and security procedures, including instructions issued by the carrier, the operating company, and applicable regulatory authorities.
Identify and report all hazards, incidents, or operational occurrences to the person in charge, ensuring that a detailed written report is completed when required.
Maintain personal safety at all times and actively support the safety of colleagues working in the same operational environment.
